Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight on schedule and within legal weight and hours limits.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) valid for at least 6 months.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no reckless driving, DUI, or serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and interstate driving regulations.
