Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding routes and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards to ensure a safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (Class A preferred for local/regional routes).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Must have a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
