Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, straight trucks) safely and efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management and navigation skills.
