Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within Ohio and surrounding states.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts as required by DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
