Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B trucks on designated local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using various tie-down methods and equipment.
- Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) accurately and sign off.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic delays, and customer needs.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (CDL Required).
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR check) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle handling.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and electronic reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if needed.
