Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on local and regional routes throughout San Francisco and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo with precision and care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and required paperwork (DVIR, manifests).
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure timely deliveries.
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (clean driving record required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
