Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of the cargo and vehicle.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Navigate delivery routes in a timely manner, adhering to traffic laws and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal trucking regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and pass a physical agility test.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
