Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local/regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized cargo (temperature-controlled/hazardous materials as needed)
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle performance concerns
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metro area and Midwest routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work variable shifts
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- 1+ years hazardous materials endorsement preferred
