Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout California and surrounding states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection and proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (HOS) and vehicle mileage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major moving violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of highway safety and DOT/HOS regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks.
