Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles across Michigan and regional routes
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazmat endorsement
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer decks
- Knowledge of Michigan roadways and regional transit hubs
- Tanker or hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and time management abilities
