Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for freight transportation across Michigan and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage electronic logging devices (ELD) and route optimization software
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Excellent communication and time management skills
