Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul routes across Georgia and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs per FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and customer requirements
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo and proper documentation of shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status
- Maintain pristine driving record and comply with all DOT safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience with verifiable references
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
