Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently across various routes within the region.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the vehicle, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Keep accurate daily logs (DOT logs) and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with necessary endorsements.
- Absolutely clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
