Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Transport cargo across regional and long-haul routes in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload freight securely, ensuring all cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dock personnel at delivery locations.
- Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License: Must be currently held or obtainable immediately.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
