Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and logbook requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery, pickup, and cargo status.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with dispatch and clients.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) is required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Must be able to lift and move cargo, up to 50 lbs, occasionally.
