Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes (300-500 miles/day)
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations and DOT compliance protocols
- Complete accurate pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch via ELD system
- Deliver time-sensitive freight to commercial facilities
- Contribute to 99.8% on-time delivery rate through route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years verifiable experience)
- Current medical certificate and TWIC card preferred
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment/random)
- Knowledge of Texas DOT regulations and cargo securement
- Strong time management and customer service skills
