Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Deliver goods to customers in the Detroit, MI, and Ohio areas efficiently and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and speaking skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
