Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, box trucks) on highways and local routes.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers in Georgia and surrounding states.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo paid training for entry-level candidates.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
