Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and route changes.
- Uphold a clean driving record and maintain a professional image at all times.
- Assist in keeping the cab and cargo area organized and clean.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background check (MVR/DNA/Federal Criminal History).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
