Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks or forklifts as required.
- Verify delivery contents and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Must have a clean driving record (no DUIs or major accidents in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory checks.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
