Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods safely and efficiently across the local region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with all safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and necessary paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all deliveries and pickups.
- Report mechanical issues immediately to maintain fleet safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Must possess a current, valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting are a plus.
