Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport and deliver freight to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Interact professionally with customers during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to dispatch.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of map reading, traffic patterns, and route planning.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must possess a valid High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
