Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure compliance and safety.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and records as per DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and vendors at every delivery point.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
- Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues immediately to maintain fleet efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A: Must hold a current Commercial Driver’s License.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT medical card is required.
- Clean Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
