Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution is correct and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
