Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to customers throughout the Boston area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and prevent mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members at all times.
- Perform minor routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any necessary repairs.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways in the Boston metro area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights if necessary.
