Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between San Francisco warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and DOT compliance documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance of your box truck
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization and load assignments
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Manage fuel receipts and expense reporting for reimbursement
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight-truck experience
- Relatively new (2018+) DOT-compliant box truck under 26,000 GVWR
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable cellular coverage
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Strong communication and time-management skills
