Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local/regional deliveries in the Orlando metro area
- Maintain meticulous vehicle maintenance logs and ensure DOT compliance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to client schedules
- Coordinate directly with dispatch team for load assignments and route adjustments
- Handle freight documentation, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup/delivery interactions
- Track and report mileage, fuel usage, and operating expenses
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (Florida license required)
- Minimum 3 years box truck experience in commercial logistics
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck in excellent condition (inspection required)
- Strong knowledge of Orlando metro routes and Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD) and mobile dispatch apps
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
