Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks to deliver freight to commercial and residential locations across the NYC metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and security of goods.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage documentation accurately, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and daily logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs, handling any special instructions professionally.
- Adhere to traffic laws and arrive on schedule to maintain our high reputation for reliability.
- Uphold safety standards at all times to protect drivers, cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT compliant insurance.
- Owned and maintained box truck in good working condition.
- Proven experience in local delivery, logistics, or freight transportation.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
