Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Represent Express Freight Solutions with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Proven ability to manage independent operations and schedule
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Current DOT medical certification
- Reliable box truck (2010 or newer) with proper insurance coverage
- Smartphone with reliable data access for communication
