Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local and regional freight delivery
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Maintain meticulous vehicle records, including inspections and maintenance logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Proactively identify and report mechanical issues to prevent downtime
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability/cargo)
- Reliable box truck (26ft+) in good mechanical condition
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic understanding of freight documentation systems
