Responsibilities
- Safely Deliver Packages: Transport parcels and documents to designated addresses within San Jose and surrounding areas in a timely and professional manner.
- Customer Interaction: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients, handling packages with care, and answering questions regarding delivery status.
- Route Management: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency, adhering to traffic laws and time windows.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition; report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and electronic paperwork for every stop.
- Package Handling: Safely load and unload packages, ensuring they are secure and undamaged during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class C California Driver's License and a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns of San Jose, CA.
- Vehicle Ownership: Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for courier work (Sedan or Van).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using a smartphone or handheld device for GPS navigation and delivery apps.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
