Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver goods across the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and vehicle condition reports.
- Route Planning: Navigate local and regional routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Background: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs, reckless driving, or major violations.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld devices for navigation and documentation.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
