Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using ELD devices.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Inspect vehicle condition before, during, and after trips to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and routine cleaning.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class A or B CDL preferred, but training provided for qualified candidates).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations or DUIs.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to safety.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
