Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over long distances.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Inspect vehicle condition before and after each trip (Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections).
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Strong understanding of road maps and navigation tools.
