Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to complete assigned delivery routes on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks with care.
- Interact professionally with customers, handle returns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in route delivery or commercial driving.
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans streets, traffic patterns, and local geography.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
