Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight across New York and Ohio.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Manage cargo loading, securing, and unloading using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check will be conducted).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
