Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long-distance routes in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the truck.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (CDL Class A preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and load securement methods.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel long distances.
