Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial delivery vehicles to designated locations in a safe and timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and Unload: Manually load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly and placed in the correct delivery zones.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers at delivery points, handling packages with care and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required paperwork on a daily basis.
- Route Management: Follow assigned routes efficiently, optimizing delivery stops to ensure maximum productivity.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is mandatory.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or logistics preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS navigation systems.
