Job Overview
As a CDL Driver with Metro Atlanta Transport Solutions, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across the region. We value our drivers and strive to provide a supportive, professional atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and legally compliant manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery paperwork (BOLs, manifests).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, etc. as required).
- Achieve and maintain a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
