Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) for overnight delivery routes
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Maintain precise delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HOS regulations and all DOT safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Secure cargo and verify delivery documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Operate in diverse weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb equipment safely
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) and weekend rotations
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Indianapolis metro and Indiana highway systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
