Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured properly and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and paperwork, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or B depending on position).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical exam certificate.
- A clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience (Entry Level candidates encouraged to apply).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
