Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to residential and commercial customers in the Washington DC area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle before and after each shift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, resolving any delivery issues or concerns efficiently.
- Accurately complete delivery logs and paperwork, including proof of delivery and mileage reports.
- Practice proper lifting techniques to load and unload packages without damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle interior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld delivery devices.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
