Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in a timely manner.
- Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain signatures from recipients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer any questions regarding the delivery.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and log mileage accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class C or CDL preferred).
- Proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of the Chicago area geography is a plus.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle for local runs (if applicable) or willingness to use company vehicle.
