Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and mechanical standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and manual handling equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in urban and highway environments with precision.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
