Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B trucks on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts or hand trucks.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and logbooks accurately (DOT compliant).
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Ensure the security and integrity of cargo during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (CDL permit may be accepted for trainees).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred, but not required for qualified trainees.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate driving regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
