Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight on schedule and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity and vehicle balance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Navigate complex routes efficiently to minimize delays and ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations in the last 7 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety regulations.
