Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries within the Greater Boston area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logging (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Boston metropolitan area roadways and traffic patterns
- Hazmat endorsement preferred; willing to train if needed
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety protocols
