Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner across regional and long-haul routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and navigation tools.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
