Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on local and regional routes within Nevada.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper placement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies to ensure a clean safety record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers a plus but not required).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication purposes.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management skills.
