The Role
As a CDL Driver at Apex Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight across the region. We prioritize safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction in everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time and in excellent condition.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Current DOT medical card and physical certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally (for loading/unloading cargo).
